This type of belt is used for long distance use. A flat belt can transmit power with excellent quality at 373 kilowatts or higher speeds of 500 horsepower at ten thousand feet per minute at a speed of about 52 meters per second when the system has wide belts and large pulleys. .

In the old days, bed belts were made of polymer or rubber or leather and fabric, but this type of belt, which is known as modern bed belts, is produced with different materials such as synthetic polymers, rubber fabrics, or reinforced fabrics. The use of these new materials can create a more favorable friction with the belt.

8 – Multi-groove belts 

This type of belt is used for power transmission in wide systems. A multi-groove belt is formed when 6 belts with jobs (V) are placed next to each other.
